About Us

The Southern Madison County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. (SOMAC) is a volunteer, non-profit organization that was formed in June of 1986 when the community was suddenly left without an ambulance.

SOMAC provides assistance for medical emergencies in the community as well as stand-by services at many community events, like the July 4th celebration and the performance by the Symphony Syracuse Orchestra. Chances are good that you or someone you know in our community has called 911 at some point in the past, and we were there to help.
